We’re Airstreamers!

Suzie

Hi! I’m Suzie, a lifelong camping enthusiast with a special fondness for Chincoteague Island, my personal paradise. After tying the knot, my friends introduced us to the joys of camping in Vermont. For two decades, we embraced the simplicity of traditional tent camping, welcoming a new child each year until our family grew to six. Eventually, the allure of sleeping on the ground lost its charm, prompting my husband and me to craft a teardrop camper while the kids enjoyed their tents.

Towing that little trailer ignited a passion in me, leading to the renovation of ten more trailers over the years. One of my favorite projects was a $100 popup, transformed into my daughter's Boho-style senior project. My hands have also worked on a variety of unique campers, including a Go-Tag-Along, two Trillium fiberglass trailers, a Fleetwing Chickadee, and a Scotty.

Currently, I have three trailers awaiting my attention: a Sprite 400, a ‘65 Airstream, and a Boler that I might part with. Among my treasures is my beloved ‘62 Airstream Overlander, affectionately named Moonshadow, where I now spend most of my camping adventures. I’m a member of Airstream Club International Keystone Pennsylvania Club, Tidewater Virginia Airstream Club, and Stella’s Sisters Airstream Club. I also belong to Sisters on the Fly and Girl Camper.

In 2020, I started Fresh Start Mobile RV Services.
Fresh Start Mobile RV Services transforms your camping experience with premier tank cleaning, maintenance, and education. While stationed on the picturesque Chincoteague Island, Virginia, during the vibrant camping season, we ensure your RV is ready for adventure. When the cooler months approach, we head south to warmer weather in Florida.

Clifford

Hi! I’m Clifford, some know me better as Airy the Airstream. My trusty companion is a sleek 2021 Flying Cloud 25’ Front Bed Twin. As a proud lifetime member of the Airstream Club International - BRN #7955. Currently, I’m the Content and Marketing Engagement Chairperson for Region 1 of the Airstream Club International, and I’ve previously held the role of Membership Chairperson for the New England Airstream Club. In 2024, we traveled about 10,000 miles, visiting Airstream rallies and campgrounds in: Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, California, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

Exploration is in my DNA—my journey began when my family made the epic cross-country trek from Ohio, just 23 miles from the Airstream factory, to Massachusetts. My roots run deep; I’m the son of a resilient 94-year-old immigrant from Poland who arrived in 1950 with her mother, armed only with the clothes on their backs and a suitcase each.

As a Navy veteran, I proudly served in Japan and the United States, embracing the call of duty. Beyond my military service, I’m passionate about capturing the world through my lens as a photographer and channeling my creativity into designing websites and managing vibrant social media pages. My professional journey includes 26 years in Information Technology with Johns Hopkins Health System and an 11-year stint as a buyer at Macy’s Department Stores. Each experience has shaped who I am, fueling my love for adventure and community.

I’m a lifetime member of the
VFW, the American Legion, and AMVETS.
